Short Stories
At over 13,000 words this is either my longest short story, a novelette, or a short novella. It is the story of an artist, his model, and the memory of a friendship in a magical summer of drawing and printmaking. Published in 2023. https://www.blurb.com/bookstore/invited/9973409/6bba2d01e9092cd88f8dbf9cbe669943bd7048ad
In 2019 I self published just one book, but it is the most ambitious book project to date. It is called, The Sphere of Life. A short story in the form of an art catalog that tells of a fictional artist, recently passed away, with many of her ballpoint pen drawings from the 1970s.

The second book of 2018, Self Portrait with Moment of Truth, is a grouping of four stories, loosely linked by a quote from Pema Chödrön: "Embarking on the spiritual journey is like getting into a very small boat and setting out on the ocean to search for unknown lands. With wholehearted practice comes inspiration, but sooner or later we will encounter fear. For all we know, when we get to the horizon, we are going to drop off the edge of the world. Like all explorers, we are drawn to discover what's waiting out there without knowing yet if we have the courage to face it..."

He recounts the story of the time when, as a young undergraduate student, he discovered a unique building about which he had been sworn to secrecy many years before. Here, he is finally free to tell his tale.
