Short Stories

In 2019 I self published just one book, but it is the most ambitious book project to date. It is called, The Sphere of Life. A short story in the form of an art catalog that tells of a fictional artist, recently passed away, with many of her ballpoint pen drawings from the 1970s.

In 2018 I published three books of short stories. The first, Still Life, tells the story of a woman who is escaping an abusive relationship. This book can be found here:

The second, Self Portrait with Moment of Truth, is a grouping of four stories, loosely linked by a quote from Pema Chodron. You can discover this book more closely here: https://www.blurb.com/b/9046630-self-portrait-with-moment-of-truth

"Embarking on the spiritual journey is like getting into a very small boat and setting out on the ocean to search for unknown lands. With wholehearted practice comes inspiration, but sooner or later we will encounter fear. For all we know, when we get to the horizon, we are going to drop off the edge of the world. Like all explorers, we are drawn to discover what's waiting out there without knowing yet if we have the courage to face it..." Pema Chödrön
My third short story of 2018, called The Hermitage, is the story told by an architectural historian upon the occasion of his retirement. He recounts the story of the time when, as a young undergraduate student, he discovered a unique building about which he had been sworn to secrecy many years before. Here, he is finally free to tell his tale.
